Nimachin Govt Primary School
Nimachin Village, located in East Sikkim's Pakyong District, is considered a remote village by the Government of Sikkim. The village sits at an elevation of approximately 8,500 feet above sea level. The local residents primarily depend on farming and timber-related work for their livelihoods. The nearest market is in Rongli, situated about 32 km from the village. We met the local villagers during the afternoon session.
Padamchin Govt Secondary School
Padamchin is a village in the Pakyong District of Sikkim, predominantly inhabited by a farming community. It is located approximately 37 km from the main market at Rongli and sits at an elevation of about 9,500 feet above sea level. The village has only one secondary school, which serves the northern part of the Pakyong District.
Lingtam Govt Secondary School
Lingtam is a village located in the southern part of the Pakyong District, situated at an elevation of around 7,000 feet above sea level. The villagers primarily depend on farming and animal husbandry for their livelihoods. Lingtam is also known for having one of the most prominent schools in the Pakyong District.
